  9. --- Pinball Dreams Hard Disk Installer, Loader, and Fix ---

  11. This installer requires the Pinball Dreams ORIGINAL disks (there are 2).
  12. It will not work for cracked versions.
  13.  
  14. The HD-Patched game will need about 2Mb of memory.
  15. It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
  16. Tested on A1200/68060/16MB and A1200/020/NoFast
  17. Report me any bugs you'll find.

  19. INSTALL:
  20.  
  21. 1. Copy this directory whereever you want to
  22. 2. Copy JST in your path (e.g in C:) if you don't already have it
  23. 3. Go in the directory and run the rippinball program (follow the instructions)
  24. 4. Check that you've got the 3 files pdreams.d1,pdreams.d2, and HI00.
  25. 5. If all OK, delete the rippinball program, it's now useless
  26. 6. Adjust the different tooltypes if necessary
  27. 7. Click the PinballHD icon to start the game

  30. Sorry the installation procedure and the ripping program are a bit ugly but they works.

  32. This loader gave me a lot of work. The hardest I've ever made. But it's worth, as it
  33. is very popular, and many people own the original, so they deserved such a program.
  34. I hope you'll enjoy it (don't hesitate to drop me a line if you do).

  40. - Uses my new program JST for easier updates
  41. - Fixes to allow to run the program on accelerator boards
  42. - Hiscores saved on HD (disable it with NOOSSWAP)
  43. - Rotten install program
  44. - Runs fully on A1200/020 NoFast
  45. - ESC quits to workbench while in the menu
  46. - TRAINER tooltype argument disables DSKRDY check for install program
  47.   (useful for ESCOM A1200 owners).

  50. NOTES FOR A1200/NOFAST USERS:

  52. - for the install part, boot without startup-sequence else you may not have enough mem
  53. - for the loader part, select LOWMEM tooltype or press joystick button on startup.

  64. I could play the 4 tables without any problems.

  66. If you've got a PAL version and it crashes, please reinstall the game now.

  71. I know there exist 2 other versions. With one of those, it's possible to play
  72. to table 1 (ignition) and the others make the loader quit. If you've got this one
  73. CONTACT ME!!
  74. The other one is the NTSC version. It's not at all supported for the moment, but
  75. I've got the disks here, so maybe it will be supported in some time.
